Sara Cato BaileySara Cato Bailey Sara Suzanne Cato Bailey has danced professionally for over 22 years and has been teaching and choreographing for over 20 years. As as young artist she grew up dancing in the Washington D.C. area under the instruction of Fran Peters. At a college level Sara studied Modern, Ballet, Dance Composition, and Anatomy for Dancers at Towson University and Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. Sara received her Personal Training Certificate with an emphasis on Sports Rehabilitation in 2010 from American Fitness Professionals and Associates and completed her Bachelor of Arts, Business Degree at University of Maryland, UC.

Her professional dance career began at age 18 when she performed in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s Tarzan Rocks and was a swing for Universal Studios. She has also performed and modeled with Hard Drive Productions, in Orlando, and can be seen dancing in the movie “Step Up” (Touchstone Pictures, 2006). Sara was also a member of Baltimore’s “Common Ground Dance Company” for two years. In 2013 Sara’s choreographed in the off-Broadway show “In it for Life” at the St. Clements Theater in New York City. Sara is also one of the five founding members of “Gift of the Arts” Foundation, a 501c3, which aims to provide opportunities for young dancers facing challenges. From 2016-2019 Sara was the Director of Dance/Executive Leadership Team at Thrive in the Baltimore/Washington Metro area. She continues to judge, teach and choreograph around the country and currently focuses on building industry business/financial plans for dance and performing arts companies.

Sara currently teaches Jazz and Tap technique for DWDE, as well as works with the DWDE Prep-Company and helping to run company rehearsals for Denise and Cami.
