Five. Six. Seven. Eight!Welcome to the National award winning Denise Wall's Dance Energy Studio, offering classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop and Flamenco. Since opening in 1993, Denise Wall's Dance Energy has turned out students that have gone on to careers with American Ballet Theatre, Kirov, Broadway, along with various professions with performance groups on cruise ships, hit T.V. shows, and multiple professional theatre groups, and more. Students with little previous dance training soared to unthinkable heights, while more experienced students had their skills nurtured and pushed to a boundless limit. Denise Wall's Dance Energy offers a program which covers a full range of techniques necessary for each of the dance arts. The studio's faculty consists of professional teachers who are fully qualified to provide training that will prepare students who have the desire to enter a career in the performing arts as well as those who want to take dance just for the fun of it in our recreational program.
Through a curriculum that is based on a foundation of body awareness and placement, injury prevention and anatomically driven lessons, our studio is able to train every level of dancer that is willing to learn. All of our faculty members are highly trained on these important methods which begins with the early elementary classes and carries through to the pre-professional company classes. The training and instruction provided within these studio walls is world renowned. Seasonal master classes are provided to expand the curriculum and provide the students an opportunity to learn new styles from choreographers and professionals whose talents are highly sought after. We not only train our students in the performing arts, we impart on them the ability to teach others these same methods. Opportunities are available to our students to assist in all levels and subjects of dance, gaining the vocabulary and skills necessary to mold young, new dancers from the next generation. Class Placement & Schedules2020-2021 Dance Year:
Class Placement: All students are placed according to their physical facility, talent, and ability to apply and retain all technical corrections. Class placement will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by the teachers and director.
We DO NOT post our class schedule on the website! Registration/class placement dates for the 2020-2021 dance year: Returning DWDE students from the 2019-2020 dance year: During the week of August 31st, returning DWDE students who responded to the “2020-2021 class interest survey” will receive an email from the office staff with a recommended class schedule. Students/parents should review the proposed schedule and notify the office staff via email with their intentions for registering for the designated classes. All registration forms will be provided in the class placement email. Please make sure to download and read all required documents and submit all required signature forms to the office prior to attending classes. Once the teaching staff provides the class schedule, the parent/student must complete registration and class placement with the office staff.
NEW Students to DWDE/ students who did not take classes during the 2019-2020 dance year registration appointments: We will hold meetings for NEW students to DWDE to provide evaluation schedules by appointment ONLY! Appointments can be made via email dwde5678@gmail.com Please write, “New Student 2020-2021 registration appointment?” in the subject portion of the email title. During the registration meeting, new students will receive a “tentative schedule” of evaluation classes. Students are not expected to dance during registration. The tentative schedule sheet must be given to the teacher before class begins, and at the end of class the teacher will return the sheet to the student with the teacher’s decision on the most appropriate class for the student. This schedule must be presented in every class the student is evaluated in. The student may be asked to return to a different class for evaluation at no charge. After evaluation classes have been taken, the completed form should be returned to the main office to enroll the student into classes. Please make sure to read our "student hand book" (located under the "policies" link) for more details about class placement. Walk In Classes: Students who wish to take a walk in class should contact the main office for class information. If you should have any questions, please email the studio at dwde5678@gmail.com |
