Our
award winning faculty provides the highest level
of instruction in a fun, relaxed and safe environment.
Our focus is on instruction of proper dance technique
and development of physical coordination, while
at the same time emphasizing injury prevention and
creative enjoyment. All members of our staff adhere
to the school's philosphy of allowing the individuality
and potential of each student to be realized.

Denise
Wall is the artistic director and co-owner of
Denise Wall's dance Energy. A respected teacher
and and award winning choreographer for more than
25 years, Denise is devoted to the art of dance.
Denise's students have gone on to perform on Broadway,
television, commercials, film and in professional
dance companies. The American Ballet Theater, the
Fox television show, So You Think You Can Dance,
Susan Stroman's revival of The Music Man, Disney
and Universal Theme Parks and the film Step Up have
all featured DWDE Dancers. Denise has worked with
Grammy Award winning recording artist Teddy Riley,
Blackstreet, Chauncy Hannibal and the group 8th
Ave., and many professionals who come to her for
private lessons. Denise's choreography is frequently
awarded top prizes for its innovative and rexpressive
style at regional and national dance conventions.
Students in her pre-professional dance company consistently
win scholarships and titles at conventions and competitions,
as well as scholarships to attend professional dance
schools.
A
native Virginian, Denise supports civic and community
events and often arranges free local performances
by the Denise Wall Dance Energy dancers. A member
of Dance Masters of America since 1989, Denise studied
and continues to study ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical,
musical theater, tap, hip-hop, African and acrobatics
with other top teachers and choreographers. Denise
travels throughout the United States teaching master
classes at conventions such as Dance Masters of
America, holding workshops at other dance institutions,
joining the summer faculty of schools such as Debbie
Allen's Dance Academy in California, and adjudicating
a variety of regional and national dance competitions.

Victoria
Flores Cooke has been dancing all of her life.
She is co-owner of Denise Walls Dance Energy and
is the director of ballet and flamenco. She has
traveled extensively throughout the world as a professional
dancer and master instructor. Trained in ballet
at the Municipal Theater in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
and in New York. She studied classical Spanish flamenco
with her mother, world renown dancer, teacher, choreographer,
Mariquita Flores. Vicky has performed in New York
on a variety of shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show,
The Voice of Firestone, The Steve Allen Show, Omnibus
as well as various off Broadway shows and national
television commercials. Toured throughout the U.S.,
Europe and South America with her husband Alex Cooke,
performing with several renowned Spanish flamenco
companies. She has worked with Jaques D'Amboise
at the National Dance Institute and was one of the
founders of the University of Maine Dance Department.
She is now presently a summer instructor with the
Virginia School of the Arts.
Vicky
has devoted her life to dance. her experience and
eye for potential talent has been instrumental in
launching several professional careers. She strives
to pass on her knowledge to the students at Denise
Wall's Dance Energy.

Aimee
Long, is a free lance artist and teacher from
Virginia Beach, Virginia. She graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Belhaven College with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Ballet. She is currently working towards a
Master of Arts in Dance Education at the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is currently
designing a strength resistance class for dancers
as well as researching dance injuries and prevention
techniques. Additionally, she is researching the Vaganova
Method of Ballet and adapting it for study in the
United States.
Miss Aimee has trained with master teachers, Istvan
Ament, Lori Worrill-Biggs, Melissa Hayden, Nina Sakhnovskaya,
and Elbert Watson. She has been with Denise Wall's
Dance Energy since 2001, teaching classical ballet,
pointe, variations, and pas de deux.
Miss Aimee has performed with The Tidewater Dance
Collective, The Chamber Ballet, as well as with the
Belhaven Dance Ensemble, Old Dominion Ballet Co.,
Bells for Peace Inc., and The Virginia Symphony. Her
classical repertoire includes: Verdi Variations, Le
Corsaire Pas de Trois, Raymonda Variations The Dying
Swan, Missa Festiva, Pizzicato, Stars and Stripes
Forever, and various roles in The Nutcracker.
In her free time, Miss Aimee enjoys tending her rose
garden, researching cultural studies, cooking, and
traveling. She is excited to be working with her students
at Denise Wall's Dance Energy in the art of Ballet!

Terri
Wernick
Instructor / Audio Engineer
|
Terri
Wernick brought her extensive teaching experience
to Denise Wall's Dance Energy in 1993. She currently
instructs tap classes for children and adult students.
She has trained locally and in New York City in the
fields of tap, jazz, and ballet. Her multitude of
talents and passion for excellence make her a beloved
teacher.
Terri has choreographed for local musicals, competition
cheering teams, and dance squads. She also choreographs
yearly performances for her students at DWDE. In addition
to her devotion to dance, Terri is an audio engineer
and owns her own music production business. She also
specializes in costume design, fashion design, and
theatrical technical production. |

Cami
Walton has over 15 years of dance experience,
and has been dancing at Denise Wall's Dance Energy
since the studio opened in 1993. She is in her second
year of teaching and is dedicated to sharing her passion
for dance with her students. She has extensive training
in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and floor gymnastics.
She was a member of the performance company and has
competed in numerous competitions along the east coast
and in New York City. She performed in the closing
night Gala for New York City Dance Alliance in both
2004 and 2005. She also placed as top five senior
soloists at New York City Dance Alliance in the summer
of 2005. In September 2005 she performed as a soloist
and guest artist with the Philip Deal Dance project.
Cami is a theatre major at Old Dominion University
and was featured in an original play entitled Fairly
Stupid Stories in October 2006. Her choreography has
also been featured in University Dance Theater at
ODU. Cami is currently the Administrative Assistant
and Educational Director of Second Wind Dance Company.
Cami continues to train with Denise Wall's Dance Energy
and takes class from master teachers from all over
the United States. Her goal is to improve her technique
and gain knowledge that will help her grow as a performer
and a teacher.

Ava
Adinolfi
Instructor

Ava
Adinolfi is
currently studying Sociology and Dance at Old Dominion
University. She is currently enjoying her first season
as a member of Second Wind Dance Company. Last summer,
she participated in Mark Morris's summer intensive
and performed repertory from a section of "V."
Ava has entertained audiences during various shows
at Busch Gardens Williamsburg such as; A Trio of Three,
This is October Fest, Jack is Back, and finally Eve's
Countdown to Midnight. While a part of Dance Energy's
company she performed in New York City Dance Alliance's
gala two years in a row.
Currently, Ava is also teaching dance for Virginia
Regional Ballet in Williamsburg. As Ava continues
her passion for dance, she has found new inspiration
in dedicating her life to being a child advocate. |

Angelique
Jones has been teaching ballet, jazz, and tap
for Denise Wall's Dance Energy since 2000. Her dance
experience spans 25 years of commitment to the arts.
Her professional training includes study in the fields
of ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. She has performed
with the Festival Ballet in Romeo and Juliet, and
The Nutcracker, as well as various repertoires with
Gotta Dance Company and Leface Productions.
In
the Atlanta area, she worked with Alex Pelham of
Colors, Jimmy Locust of Locust Production, and Roberson
Entertainment. She choreographed and produced numerous
fashion shows and was selected to choreograph for
Charelle. During the 1996 Olympics, she represented
IBM and performed for athletes and guests from around
the world.
She
was formerly the ballet mistress with the Roswell
City Ballet, guest instructor with the Atlanta Ballet,
instructor for the Virginia Governor's School for
the Arts, and choreographer for Keyhole Productions.
Miss
Angelique continues her education through NYCDA
and traveling with Denise Wall's Dance Company.
Her dedication to her students is evident in their
love of dance.
