The 2007-08 Competition season is well underway. Below are highlights from the competitions we've attended thus far. Congratulations to all of our company dancers, instructors and choreographers! We are extremely proud of all of you, and are amazed at the hard work and long hours that you dedicate to be the best some of the best in the country!

Love Shack, Still Here, Answer, All I Need, Hey, I Can’t Make You and The Way I ARE all were awarded High Gold and My Philosophy and With or Without You were awarded DJ Pick awards, the highest award possible.

The Pulse
Meadowlands, NJ, January, 2008

DWDE Attended The Pulse on Tour for the first time. Each studio is invited to bring a number, and world reknown judges critique each entry (no scores are given). With or Without You, Choreographed by Travis Wall, was beautiful, as always, and lived up to all the “hype” people had heard about it!

The Pulse staff was very impressed and here are some of their comments:

-Brian Friedman- “Wow,” that number was really hot!

-Mia Michaels- Loved it, nothing else to say. There was so much going on and it was all beautiful, she had a hard time focusing on the “brilliance,” because it was all brilliant. These are some of the best female dancers seen in a long time, maybe ever! She has wanted to see this piece for so long, the piece preceded you and you did a great job!

-Shane Sparks- 2nd best piece of the night (1st was the clogging number because it was so different) The studio is lucky to have such a gifted choreographer as Travis. He has quite a future ahead of him. Beautiful job!

-Dave Scott- The number really stood out. Everyone gave everything to the piece.

Cris Judd- It must be fun to be part of the studio. If he where growing up again, he couldn’t wait to take class at DWDE and see what they could do. The creative process compares to no other. One of the most solid studios as a whole he ever saw, there was no weak link. You should be so proud, you are growing together and you look like a family

Congratulations to Man of LaMancha who was awarded Gold and to Across the Universe, All I Need, Still Here, Forget the World, Dancing in a Burning Room, Smooth Criminal and Love Shack who were all awarded Platinum.
